2004 Club Car Precedant won't start
I picked up a decent 2004 CC Precendent for $250. Just needed a start/gen. Put one on, fresh fuel, fresh fuel filter, fresh plug, clean air filter and the thing won't turn over.
Any suggestions I could try? Isn't it true, if you unplug the wire coming from the lower front of the motor, it should still crank? I'm asking because I want to be sure it's not the wiring. I've checked everything from the key to the voltage regulator and everything in between. Any ideas? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Is the engine seized up? Can you turn it by hand?

That's the thing, the motor turns freely, there's spark coming from the spark plug wire, there's compression in the head.
It seems to have the 3 ingredients: fuel, air and spark. That's why I'm baffled. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

check your wiring install on starter generator. If it rotates the engine and still will not start, check pedal box wiring

Make sure the engine rotation is correct while cranking

If you're facing the clutch, the rotation should be to the right, correct?

Standing on the passenger side, looking at the clutches:

Then it's rotating correctly.

Re: 2004 Club Car Precedant won't start
I'm an idiot. The motor clearly shows rotation to the right (clockwise) but the start/gen is spinning to the left (counterclockwise). How do I reverse start/gen rotation?
