Default Tire/rim offset

I have a +2000.5 DS gas cart. It has stock rim/tires (18-8.50 x 8" ) and stock height. I've done a search that a 20" tire (205/65) on 10" rim would fit. Since I would be buying new wheels, what offset/width would be needed?

or

Should I put a bigger tire on the stock rims and go the hub cap route?

I have no plans of lifting the my cart. I use the cart as a pit vehicle at the track. I also use it tow my car if need be.

Thanks

With a 20 inch tire you will probably rub on the front drivers side when you turn left. I needed a wheelbase extension.

Careful going to a 20" tire if your towing with it. It will reduce towing capacity.

So for a stock lift cart, would a 3:4 offset rim work if I stay with a 18" tire? Would the offset work with an 8" or 10" diameter rim? I don't care if I go with an 8" or 10" rim. Cart is staying at stock height.

Sorry for all the questions as I have to replace the stock tires. Since I have to replace the tires, I was thinking about changing the rims at the same time.

Just looking to get the right parts the first time around.

I'll take rim/tire size recommendations also.
