Default EZ GO 30 psi compression

I have an older twin cylinder EZ-GO. My son never informed me of a backfire that burned up the air filter. He removed it never replaced it and after a few weeks it has 30 PSI in both cylinders. I cleaned the carb out and it was not as bad as I expected. I know without an air filter it can do damage to the cylinders but this cart is run in small amounts with fairly non dusty areas. I never pulled one of these apart. Could I have a stuck valve or maybe a bad head gasket? The fan side was all plugged up with grass and straw so I am assuming an over heating at some point. Any experianced guys have a few suggestions? Manuals on the internet?

with 30 psi the best thing is take it out tear it down and see where your at.......you may get away with just piston and rings and again may not.......but you,ll need to start somewhere.......................

I hate to say it, but there is no easily repairable event / situation that's going to cause you 30psi compression - best case scenario you're likely looking at a top end rebuild (not as big of a deal as it seems)

Pour a little oil into the spark plug hole and retest the compression. If there is an improvement then your cylinders / rings are shot. If there is no improvement the problem is with the valves.

In either case find a large stick and beat that child.

At 30psi the cart shouldn't run, if it does, check your compression gauge.
I see a rebuild in your future.
