Default 1995 G14 Carb Issues - PLEASE HELP

Hello, I am new to the forum. I have read just about every G14 posting on this site and have done everything suggested to fix my cart.

The issue is that it needs to be partially choked in order to stay running and not bog down to an idle.

I have done the following:
Cleaned the carb (3 times)
replaced all of the gas and fuel filter
replaced the spark plug
changed the oil and it has exactly 1 quart of 10W-30 Full synthetic in it
check it from top to bottom for air leaks on the intake side - found none

After all this, it still needs to be choked to run. It does run out to 13.5 mph when partially choked, but doesn't have the power and torque needed to climb hills. I assume this is because it is being partially choked and can't get enough air/fuel as needed for more power.

Any suggestions would be great. I am going crazy trying to figure this out.

please keep this thread up, unbelievably i am having the same exact issue with a 1996 G14 gas cart. I did all the stuff you did. I cleaned the carb but i didnt take it apart, instead i soaked it in a parts cleaner, then let it soak all night in carb cleaner... I only didnt take it apart becuase the rebuild kit is nearly as much as a new carb

i am thinking of just getting a new carb

another issue i just noticed, is an oil leak. It didnt leak before i changed the oil, but now the plug on the oil tank is leaking, any suggestions?

Hey Winter I have a 1996 G14 and had the same problem with having to leave the choke out some to run . What I found was the top of the air breather canister was not sealed . Check the top seal . Those rubber hold downs I guess you call them may not be doing there job . Be sure all the clamps on the breather are tight too.
