Check out the plastic spacer between the carb and the engine --- sometimes there is a small crack in that spacer and it will do exactly as you have described. It took me almost 2 weeks of frustration to find that crack on my G9. Pull the carb and spacer off and look really closely.

This is a classic symptom of a carburetor that has become plugged with varnish.
You'll probably have to change the carb. Good old ethenol! You might be able to clean it enough to get it going again, but most likely will be easier and quicker to just replace it. |
