Default G-22 front clip mounting question

I have a G-22. Just painted the body, noticed a bracket on the front of the chassis, but there is nothing on the front body. Am I missing something, the front of my body just sits on the front bumper, is the correct.

On my G1 there is a piece bolted to the center where the front suspension arms mount. It goes up under the front of the body and it doesn't bolt to it, but just lets the front of the body set against it. It allows the front of the body flex a bit without being too rigid.

Perhaps it's the same with the piece your talking about.

Thanks Smokindawg

It sounds like the same thing I have, they must all be like that.

They use a "spring clip" to hold the front cowel to that bracket. Part #ju0-f2567-00-00 Not the best idea Yamaha ever had

On the g22 I built, I welded a piece of strap on the frame where the body was suppose to clip. Then I drilled holes in the body and strap, and used bolts to hold it on.

My build starts on page 444 in the "G8 Club" if you care to look.
