Yamaha 1982 engine rebuild kit
Can anyone point me in the direction to find an engine rebuild kit for a 1982 yamaha g1? Everything i have searched for is before or after. Thank you.

Depends on how far you plan on rebuilding it. All the bottom ends are the same. 82 (j17) just has a differant cylinder/reed assy/intake manifold and carb. Best bet on J17 top ends is to go oversived piston and rings and just get the cylinder bored to match. Good luck

yeah its a mother to find top end stuff for the 82 but i actually upgraded my engine and have a recently bored .75 over cylinder head id be willing to part with... no scores just need to break the glaze.
