pop pop pop
Hi guys. I now have my G8 up and running. The motor has been rebuilt. New seals, New rings, New intake (old one was cracked) now that is back together an I ran it this weekend I’m finding a problem I had never seen before. It doesn’t seem to have the power it should. an there is a popping sound almost like a back fire. I have a shop look at it to double check the timing an valve adjustment and he said nope it was fine. Everyone tells me its in the air box but it looks sealed to me. Is there a way to check it an see if it sucking air somewhere?

Re: pop pop pop
Did you put a new plug in it? If so, what does it look like after being run? Any pics?

Yeah its new. It looks fine. I been running the hell out of it an the checking the plug. Still looks ok. I'm going to look at the valve adjustment again this weekend when I get back out to camp.

Re: pop pop pop
It seems to do it mostly under a load. Like going up a hill or pushing hard on pedal.
