body swap
i have searched and havent found any topics on this but has anyone tried putting a g29 which is the new yamaha drive body on the old style like a g14

Oh I wish it was even close to be "doable". Because the G29 frame/composite floor pan/ side rail protectors/seat back frame assy/ect are SO differant then G8 thru G22's , it would be easier installing a Datsun 280Z body on one! Anything is "possible", just look at some of these amazing members builds. Do what's in your "mind's vision"

Someone here has done it, but I have no idea of who it was that post was a while ago. Could have been a G22 was thinking it was a drive body.

I'm sure I could do it I work in a Fab machine shop an have more than enough machines to pull it off but just don't want to put a ton of time and money into that wen I can buy one just thought maybe Yamaha engineers got lazy an redisgned the body and marked the price up
