Default Curtis 400 amp harness plug to Alltrax XCT...

Is there an adapter harness that you would need in order to connect an Alltrax XCT to an existing harness plug that use to connect to a Curtis 400?? I've tried calling Alltrax for days now but apparently no one is in the office. Thanks in advance..

Try emailing them. They are likely to be working from home, so nobody is in the office to answer the phone, but can access the email account on home computer.

Also you'll need to tell them the model number of the "Curtis 400" so they can match it up to the XCT version with the correct jacks for the harness in your cart.

10-4...this is actually a 2015 Cushman shuttle 2 and I'm not 100% familiar with these. I hope they have one because this looks like a different animal.

A 2015 would probably have a model 1206HB, or 1264 or 1268 sepex controller, and you called it a Curtis 400, so it is likely to be one of the latter two and there is an XCT48x00-1264/1268 version. (For a heavyweight like a shuttle, I'd go 500A or more) If I the attached schematic read them right, there is an adapter cable that interfaces it with the wiring harness of a 1264 equipped cart and a different adapter cable for one with a 1268.

You'll also need the Model number of the motor since the field map is motor specific.

Yes it had the 1268 Curtis 400...sorry I should have made that more clear. Glad to know they had an adapter harness; now it’s just trying to get a hold of one! Lol

And not sure why you are abandoning the Curtis. If it was running before it probably is just a wiring issue.

I think it ended up being a Controller issue...It's been sent in for diagnostics so we'll see. But just FYI for anyone that's thinking about going this route..after some headache and ALOT of calling around you simply can't put an Alltrax XCT40048V in the Cushman Shuttle 2's. Alltrax doesn't offer a 16 to 24 pin adapter for the main harness yet. You would have to get one for a Yamaha Drive and have it mapped for the PDS 2/motor and then use the Curtis harness adapter for the 1264 or 1268. This was a hard lesson learned for me

There is a cable available but I don’t know if it is an Alltrax cable. I have have seen one. I believe that you are correct with it using the controller made for a Yamaha.

I've been wondering if just changing the main harness to a regular 48v harness would work with the XCT400 48V

There is a 1268 adapter for XCT to this 24 pin cart. We have 400 and 500 amp in stock.
