lithium low voltag cut off
I'm in process of doing a lithium conversion and was thinking to tie into the Tow/Run switch wires for my low voltage cut off or would tying in at the key switch be better?

Re: lithium low voltag cut off
Tow/run would be a good way but I just went with a loud alarm on mine. It's as loud as my original backup alarm.

I'm not sure it's a good idea to have it just quit without warning. You could be crossing a road or something. Most electrics powered by Lithium have a limp mode.

It would be nice to be able to do a limp mode or an alarm but I would still want it to shut down at a certain point. |

Re: lithium low voltag cut off
Then I recommend you do an alarm at around 15-20% SOC and only shut down at 10%. Without a BMS you should not trust that the pack is balanced well enough to go below 10 or 15% SOC. Remember that the lowest cell is the one will you kill if you take it too low.

Re: lithium low voltag cut off
Ya, I was actually planning on cutting it off around 20%. I disconnected the back up alarm when I first got the cart, so I will utilize it for the alarm at about 25%
