Default Speed Magnet

I have a 2009 cc precedent with speed 4 installed runs fine except the braking still cuts in.If i install a speed magnet will that do away with the regeneitve braking

The speed magnet will give you what you're looking for only if you have the IQ drive system. Look at your vehicle serial number to determine your drive system. PH is Excel, PQ is IQ. There are a few other more uncommon prefixes as well. If you have a different prefix, post it and I'll help you identify the drive system. With an OEM magnet, you can turn the pedal-up regen braking off. Which means that the cart will not brake when you release the pedal. There is no way to turn the regen completely off unless you switch to a high speed magnet. Your car quipped with an OEM magnet will always limit your top speed based on your speed setting.

Dang now I see that not only did I read the question itself wrong but regen can't be "fully" turned off which I thought wrongly that it could...
