Time for my first oil change on my 2005 precedent, 290 engine. What is the oil filter part number and best oil to use in it.?

For about 8 years, I used Wally Worlds Super Tech #4967 oil filter, With Mobil 1 10w-30 synthetic...
It's a good inexpensive oil filter, and it's readily available...
With my last oil change I used a Mobil 1 oil filter, it's 3 times the price of the WM filter, but I figured... what the heck, why not!

The decision of using conventional oil, or synthetic is completely up to you!
If you decide on synthetic, continue using it with all future oil changes.

Just my 2 cents worth: If you're doing a fleet it might make sense to economize, but for your own personal cart don't cheap out. The oil change is something you'll probably only do once a year. Considering how vital the lubrication is to your engine, and everything else you do to your cart is kind of dependent on the engine running properly, it's worth the couple extra bucks.

I have read horror stories about using car filters on small engines. There is a pressure release in the filter itself and normally is too high for a small engine. Not to question you lockman but I always use the stock Kawasaki filters. At $8 it's worth it to me.

I understand kg... because I AM a Club Car "purist" so, no offense taken!

The problem I always seem to have is, I usually forget to order one when its time to change my oil,
AND... IF I do want to place an order, (or go to my CC dealer)
I always tend to buy MORE stuff that may not be necessary at the time!

Pretty standard filter. Lowes and Homedepot both carry them here. I usually get the long body 490657010 but the 2078 works just as well.

For our fleet I run 10w30 full synthetic and use NAPA gold oil filters. I change the oil every 100 running hours.
