Re: 96 won't charge.
As a dissenting voice, do not spray "regular" WD 40 into the plug outlet. Not only will the residue attract dust/dirt but as a petroleum based product it is not good for anything rubber based. But WD 40 does make a product for cleaning electrical contacts whicvh is safe for rubber:

Re: 96 won't charge.
check battery pak voltage....total voltage . Charger will not click on if pak voltage in too low. you tube has some vids on this. May need to use a car charger to charge individual batteries.

Re: 96 won't charge.
YES?.... I bypassed OBC with black wire from charge recepticle to pack negative. Plugged in charger and it charged fine. Turned off charger at 60 volts. I guess that says that my OBC has failed. Options are new OBC at $289 or new DPI charger at $285. Will order new charger from Scotty B on Monday. Will have A good Powerdrive charger for sale soon. What do I have to change to use the new charger??? Do I just make the black 10 ga wire permanent? Anything else?????

Re: 96 won't charge.
Make a jumper and hook the blue and white wires on the obc together unplug the connector and tape the jumper and plug up. That way you can put a new obc in the cart if you ever need to.

Re: 96 won't charge.
Thanks for the reply mrgolf. I have a series cart and don't see blue and white wires at the OBC. I think you are referring to a Regen or an IQ system.
Looking back at the sticky, I see Sergio's post #29 and the wiring diagram he included, it says to take the black #10 from the recepticle to pack negative and the small yellow from the small solenoid post to pack negative. Is that all that needs to be changed? |
