2008 TXT PDS F/R Switching & tone Problem

Recently in the rain, my reverse buzzer went off; cart was sitting there, key off, F/R switch in Forward. Cart would not respond to anything but Reverse; had to drive it home backwards. In the garage, I tried breaking 36V main battery ckt to stop tone; no joy. Only stopped when removing J1 from Controller (PDS type). With wiring diagrams, I tried troubleshooting but can't isolate the problem. Took out F/R switch, w/multimeter, it tested to work properly with no shorts. Rung out wiring between the F/R swx and J1 on controller & reverse buzzer & controller--checked fine with no shorts to ground or each other. With J1 plug in controller, measured 37vDC ref voltage across J1 pins going to reverse buzzer. Had a rebuilt Curtis 1206 controller from my local dealer and problem persists with both original and rebuilt controllers.

Has anyone encountered a problem like this with direction switching & reverse tone? Have encountered it a couple times in last 3 yrs; only when it's wet out (not always). Tried soaking underside of cart w/hose, but never able to replicate the problem. Always resolves after a couple days when cart dries out...

Different carts Crash. One is series, the other PDS.. Buzzer on a PDS gets its power from the hot side of the solenoid and ground from the controller. If it was alarming and would only go in reverse controller may have gotten wet on top or FnR switch may have gotten wet enough to confuse the controller. If neither of these controller might be failing
