Steering Issue - Club Car
I recently aligned my tires on my club car. It has a 6in lift if that matters. The cart drive straight. But, sometimes on pavement (no bumbs) the steering will suddenly jerk to the right for a split second. It's pretty scary especially when the cart does 30mph. I've researched it and can't really find out what the cause could be. I checked all nuts and bolts in the front and cant find anything loose. I can sit in front of the cart facing the tires and push them apart maybe a 1/4 inch, Is that normal?
What could my issue be? -Neal |

Re: Steering Issue - Club Car
Sounds like a tie rod end to me just check while spreading them and see which one has the play it’s what attaches the steering rack to the spindles

Second the tie rod end. Jack the front end up and wiggle the wheel back and forth. You will see where the death wobble is coming from.

Re: Steering Issue - Club Car
Neither are actually wobbling at all. But, the steering rack seems loose. And there seems to be like an inch of play in the steering wheel. Would adjusting the tension nut fix that?

Re: Steering Issue - Club Car
Need to circle back around on this. the wobble seems to be back but I noticed there is play in this area (See Pic) Is there to be some sort of bushing or sleeve of some sort where this bolt goes in to keep it from wiggling? See pic.
