Default Where to find 12V?

Total newbie here, so forgive me if this has been covered to death. I would like to add some switched lighting (waterproof LEDs) and add a 12v outlet on my '02 DS 48v electric. I would prefer not to tap into my lighting system if it can be avoided. Is there another spot to get 12V?

An 02 DS would have a 16 to 12v reducer basically tapping power off the 2 batteries under the drivers seat. There should be a small block of 12v connections in front of the batteries where you can tie in.
However - this is not the recommended way to get 12v. By drawing off of just 2 of the batteries the potential exists to create an imbalance in the pack which will shorten the useful of all the batteries.
Best to use a 48 to 12 volt reducer. Find a quality high amperage type with on/off feature so it will not deplete the pack when the cart just sits.

Thank you . Over the years the blue reducer has out performed and out lasted every other model we have sold. Today we just carry the one because there is no place for second best.
