Admiral motor
I installed an Admiral motor in my 2003 48v ds series cart a couple of weeks ago. Everything ran fine till today. It is making a loud metallic sound(bearing?) while driving forward. It does not make sound in reverse. It is constant does not get louder as speed increases. Motor is warm on top, but pretty hot on bottom.
Any ideas of problem and whats the solution? It runs fine, for now, but noise worries me. |

Re: Admiral motor
Well I went a checked my cart and found a stick wrapped around end of axle. Romoved stick and no more noise. Dont see how a stick can make a metallic sound but I wont complain.

Re: Admiral motor
I was actually gonna say "look for a stick caught up in the axle".

Re: Admiral motor
I've had a gazillion sticks, vines, and limbs hung up under cart. None sounded like this did. Hope maybe info will keep someone else from getting worried.
