Default AMD Beast

Got the AMD beast in the mail today. To bad it’s snowing here in New England!

Can’t wait to get this in and try it out. Coming from a PQ bandit, hoping this works out for what I want to do. I’m looking for 20-22ish. I’ve read many threads in here with the same setup as me achieving that speed. Bandit did 18ish.

FYI, snow doesn't stop a golf cart [with decent tires], just slows it down some.

Too shitty out for me to do the swap. Need to tie up some odds and ends also. Install a fuse holder for the aww 400 amp fuse, need to shorten the bat neg cable and make a jumper from fuse to b-. Hoping for 22!

What’s the rates RPM on that motor? That should give you an idea of top speed.

Not exactly sure. Another member on here has the same setup as me and said 22ish. I got the motor in but it started raining again. 43f out too, hands are like ice cubes. Either this motor is twice as heavy as the bandit, or that handle on the bandit really comes in handy. I ended up putting the motor on a plastic shoe tray, sliding it under the cart, then I took a tow strap and wrapped the case of the motor and pulled it in place from the access panel. Worked out pretty good. Upgraded the mounting hardware to grade 8, started tightening it down then the rain came. :(

From what I’ve heard the amd beast is a great motor. I had a similar setup but with an admiral motor and it did 22-23mph on stock tires. Near 30mph on 25” tires. I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to get at least low/mid 20’s
