Question about charging circuit on 98 DS
I am trying to get a friends 98 ds 48 v. to charge. He had stored the batteries in his basement for the winter so they were completely discharged. By using a 12 volt charger I was able to restore a charge to all of them. I bypassed the 48 volt relay in the club car charger to finish the charge. The problem is that I get charging current. Red lead from charger connector checks out with ohm meter. Black wire and fuse is ok from connector to where it enters obc. The other heavy black wire leaving obc that goes to the controller common terminal I assume is for the charging circuit. I get no continuity from the wire from the charger connector thru the obc to the controller. My first question is, am I think right about the wiring thru the obc? The second question is, is the obc controlling the charging current and how? Thanks for help.
