Default finely a engine rebuild

I finely or I should say we finely have the extra money to get the rebuild for the engine in our 90 ezgo marathon, so I ordered and found it was on back order till March next year, well after waiting this long I just couldn't wait that long so I called another supplier and still no good, so I looked to ebay and found what I needed so I ordered it Mon. and now just waiting for it to get here, I ordered a silanoied as well cuz this one only worked if jumped, I can't wait to get this going,,
sorry just wanted to share this..

Good job, if you need any help just shout. Did you get the full kit or just the top end.

Check out my thread on a top end rebuild. I had most of the problems you can encounter with one, and Dave, BCM, and Madoc were super helpful through the process.

What is the difference between a full and top end kit?

Hey Mark,

Top end is a new piston, cylinder, rings, and gaskets.

A full kit adds a new crankshaft, bearings, and crank seals.

Usually when someone does a top end, we do recommend new crank seals as well, because once you have the engine out, it's the best time to do them, and they do wear out as the friction parts on them are rubber.

BTW, here is a link to my rebuild thread:

A top end kit has piston, piston clips, not sure what they are called, rings, cylinder, and full rebuild has same with crank, crank seals,
There might be more to it and sure others will add to this if I missed anything,..
