79 EZGO backfiring on start up
Im back with a new question for you guys. All of the rest of your advice has been great and since then my flywheel issue and the issues with my lack of spark has since been resolved. (At least I think).
I am now getting the best spark I have had since owning this machine and now the engine is backfiring nearly the second I try to gas it up. (It is loud). It also smokes quite abit after this happens. Also it does not appear the engine is turning over and it is running as it did when I was simply running off the starter (which is when I had no spark). Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks |

Also to add something,
I went back and checked my spark and noticed it is a yellowish or orangish spark and not sold blue anymore. Ive read that this is not normal. What would cause this? Do I need to adjust the points again? |

Bump. I am completely lost and I have no clue what direction to go with as far as trying to correct the backfire.
