Paint for fiberglass
Has anyone successfully used Krylon for painting fiberglass? It lists plastics, etc., but doesn't specifically list fiberglass. Also, there is a rustoleum for plastic I was wondering about.
Anyone use these as opposed to automotive paint? |

Re: Paint for fiberglass
Yes Krylon will work fine on fiberglass, its much different then painting plastics that have an adhesion problem. Both of my carts in my avitar are painted with regular Krylon and they have held up very well even with the abuse they get using them around the property hauling limbs and such. As with anything properly prepping the fiberglass is very important to a lasting paintjob, I used 320 grit sandpaper on a DA before applying the final paint. I hope that helps.

Re: Paint for fiberglass
Thanks for the reply, I think I will go with Krylon fusion I think it's called. I will sand first and spray on some adhesion promoter before painting maybe for some extra assurance.
