Default Another battery question

Hello all,

Well I am at the point of making an 8v battery purchase. I have been quoted $175 each for Trojan's and I can't get the Crown Battery rep. to return my call.
I am feeling like I should just go with a less expensive Duracell battery at $99 each. My reasoning is that I can buy two sets of the Duracell's for the price of one set of Trojans.

If anyone has a line on either the Crown or Trojan batteries, please let me know. Keep in mind that my local parts store took advantage of a novice and took my old batteries telling me "They are worthless but we will take them off your hands". Point being ... I will have to pay the core charge.

I would like some input please....

THANKS !

What Trojan did they price you? I got a set of T-875s for $700 out the door. That is $116.66 each. I also have talked to others who got them even cheaper. I know this doesn't help much since I am in the south, but at least you know you can probably do better than that quote.

I would stay with the Trojans or Crowns , I myself prefer Crowns
But --remember the batts are the heart & soul of your cart , by going cheap it will come back to haunt you Guaranteed
good luck

I bought the Trogan black box battery for my new cart for $85 each. Pretty happy with the purchase. I will say though, I bought the SAMs club batteries for my other cart in 07, didn't know how to take care of them then and didn't, and they are still going strong. Just lucky on them I'm sure but they can be good batteries..
