Default New Light Switch Needed

I just got a new to me 2008 RXV that runs great and has new batteries. I had to replace the headlights because they were completely yellow and beyond repair. The kit that was on the cart was the Factory Halogen set and I replaced them with the Pro-Fit Deluxe LED set (hella bright).

With that send the old kit has a nice factory switch and the dash was already cut to house it. I noticed that the switch has a much different connection type then the new set. The new set of lights has the traditional Push Pull Knob.

Is there a way to make the factory switch work with the new set? If not, anyone have a recommendation for a switch that would fit in the space so I do not have to get a new dash trim? The switches on amazon all tend to have 3 prongs to hook it up and mine only has 2 prong.

The OEM ones are expensive!

Holy Hell!!!

Didn't even think this would be worth much. I would prefer to use the OEM one but I can't think of how I would be able to connect it to the new harness.

I found this...

https://www.amazon.com/Bandc-Marine-...0DRAW8ZK&psc=1

it is 12v and 20amp and I think the push/pull knob is 12v and 15amp.

Do you think this would work?

Yes it would work if you're only dealing with 2 wires. Just crimp on some female spade connectors and plug it in. I thought you were looking for OEM.

Is the original factory switch wiring part of the carts harness or separate from it? If it is separate, you can cut the plug off with long tails and work out which wires are working the lights and use the original switch. any other wires in the switch would be for a light inside the switch to illuminate the logo if it had one.

There are also switches on the market that will fit the dash hole, it does not need to be anything special as you now have LED's which will draw very little current.
Those amazon switches may have an extra connection to allow an illumination light to be grounded or are simply single pole SPDT switches and you just use two of the terminals. Or try to find a SPST switch with two connections.

Just search amazon
for SPST rocker switch and select one that fits your dash.

If you choose an illuminated one, just connect the third terminal to ground.
