I'm running roypow lithium and I honestly can't imagine anymore torque in this beast.

What is your capacity of the lithium pack? How the range?

I’m running two 51Ah in parallel and I haven’t found the range yet, went 60 miles and used 3 bars out of 10.

You drove 60 miles?! My typical driving distance is 6 miles between charges.

RoyPow claims 56Ah is 20-30mi, so double for your setup.

I'm wondering if I could get away with a 51Ah pack. That seems insane.

I figured the range would be longer because you can usually deplete more of it than a battery, but that's tremendous PLUS lighter weight and more torque.

I'm still investigating building my own.

I had to go with two, one on a lifted cart causes the BMS to cutout, they have a performance version but it wasn’t available, running two in parallel cuts the amperage draw in half and doubles the capacity. Our mileage is at low speed with lots of downhill regen. I’m not sure if I can trust the SOC meters since the packs are not designed to run in parallel, I could have been near empty for all i know. But so far I’m very happy with the performance.

Hello everyone! I just wanted to let everyone know that I was able to download the software, make the cable and get the software to work!

There were a few challenges in getting the program to talk to the cart but all of the issues were covered in the various posts and the biggest issue was updating the CANUSB drivers.

I adjusted my max motor speed to 7000 and can easily cruise at around 31 and will reach 35 if on a downhill grade. 35 is pretty darn fast in a golf cart!

I also adjusted the acceleration from 7.5 down to 6.5 which seemed to help the start up acceleration.

I am hoping to play around with other settings and will let you all know what I find out when I have time. If anyone else has had good results with torque programming changes, I would be happy to give them a try too!

Thanks to all of you for your input for these ICON carts!

Cool Re: Programming Software Download Here

Hi everyone, I have downloaded the software, however I need the cables. Anyone have photos and links to where the cables can be obtained? I understand that there is a requirement for a CANUSB adapter cable and another for a programming cable?

You can actually buy the programming cable on Amazon for $30. I think Atrain is making them and selling them on there.

There is another post where he listed all of the links to the items needed to make your own cable if you prefer and then you just need the CANUSB adapter. All of the info needed is in the threads, just takes a bit to sort it all out but I managed and am definitely not a computer techy guy.
