if you break the connection to use the extension cord, you would want to not have the factory wall cable plugged in. But even if you forgot and had the factory wall charger plugged in the plug is the female and would be almost impossible to accidently contact something. The male is attached to the cord coming out of the charger and you can just extend it with a regular extension cord to connect to the wall. I have this setup on my cart and I keep a cord under the seat in case I need to charge away from home.

This is the setup I use, the input cord from the charger has a male socket that plugs into a matching female that goes to the charge port under the seat. I keep a cord that goes from the wall outlet and connects to directly to the charger if I happen to get stranded. Normally this connector is connected and i use the factory cord from the wall to the charging port on the rear seat.

Does anyone know what the receptacle type is? The model, etc?
I was thinking of trying to make a spare myself. There is one on ebay for $140, though I could do it for a lot less if I could find the plug type.

I have looked everywhere, it is a Chinese made part that doesn’t seem to have much availability. Might be better to change our the receptacle to a more common connector.
