Default New Curtis Controller confusion.

well in a desperate move to get my 94 club car back running I purchased a 400amp Curtis 1205x. for the increased amperage, thinking I would be getting a upgrade but now I have a problem. the B+B-A2M- all are the same as the 1204 but there is an pins instead of push on connections one for power one and other for stuff. I tried rigging it to get it to work but no go. am I doing something wrong or is this controller not compatible with my golfcart?

I believe the 36 volt controller carts took a Curtis 1204, not the 1205. Could be your problem, not sure what the actual differences are...

I don't think the 1204 vs 1205 is your issue. It's the voltage, throttle, and drive system that matter. With that adapter, this controller could have come from an EZGO or Yamaha

What I know so far that it's a 36v controller. The same motor connections. The main differences is the throttle connection and power on. There are also extra pins. Which I'm hoping that they are just extra features. How different are curtis controllers for ezgo?

I think it should work fine, but that controller is designed to work with a FNR contactor so it needs one more input to know the contactor is powered.

The old controller #1 wire needs to go to 2 pins on that new connector:

(KSI) - Top pin on the connector (Near B+)
(FWD) - Second from the bottom (Near A2)

Leave all of the other pins disconnected and protected from accidental shorts (Ie: tape them).

That connector is a Molex #09-50-3071 in case You want to make the proper connection.

Hopefully the controller did not come with any "optional" features like SRO or HPD.

Those controllers have different options that can be custom ordered, did it come with any documentation?

It is easy enough to just swap the Throttle connectors in case it is configured for 5k-0 system, but not so easy to test for all other options.

Yes, swap the white and black spade connectors from the multi step potentiometer to test for a 5k-0 setup.
it could also be 0-5v, etc... and that is the not so easy part.
