Default Re: Club Car DS problem switching into forward

Yes, the solenoid clicks. I have checked microswitch 1 and it makes a good connection as the FNR rotates. I did notice corrosion and potential burn spots on the copper contacts, so I cleaned all the connections, but it didn't seem to help. I'm wondering if the shorted wire in the v-glide might have caused a short or burn issue with those copper buses. I'm taking the cart out tomorrow, so if I continue to have problems I might just replace the whole FNR switch.

Any other ideas what it could be?
Pretty sure this is pointing toward a failure of the high amperage contacts inside the F&R switch.
One more thing to check before replacing it would be the microswitch trigger(s)
Sometimes they get bent or weak. put the cart in F and see if you can lift the ms trigger with a finger nail ... if you hear it click when lifted then this may be the trouble. Simply bending the arm back down so it will contact the actuator sooner may be the fix.
