Re: Brake pushing back at me?
Made a longer bracket to extend the brake cables and it works flawlessly! I love it and it's prefect!

Re: Brake pushing back at me?
Maybe you can include a link showing where a brake cable extension for a Precedent is available for purchase. I know they have them for DS's but not sure where you could purchase one for a Precedent. Especially for those that could not manufacture one. I have a brake cable tool from CC that made it easy for me to remove the old cable. Without it the job would have been much harder when I installed a new cable.

Re: Brake pushing back at me?
I believe that extension was intended for a DS cart. Where did you mount it?
Using the tool from CC to undo the brake cable from under the frame, it took less then a few minutes to install a new passenger cable on the drivers side. I only had to remove one cable in order to do it. Using a custom mounted extender you must have had to drill new supporting holes, mount it and still remove TWO cables instead of one under the frame. But which ever way one chooses I'd still personally recommend just replacing the drivers side cable with a passenger cable to correct the braking issue. No drilling or custom mount. |

Re: Brake pushing back at me?
This is the part number from CC for the Brake Cable Release Tool posted by TahoeDawg in the thread:
How to change a brake cable on a Precedent IQ Brake Cable release tool.... Club Car part number 102555501 What ever method you choose, getting access to the cable ends under the frame on a Precedent can be difficult. This tool makes it a 1,2,3 easy operation. :) |
