Long Travel or SOL?

I am wanting my cart to somewhat ride like a side by side. I ride my through a pasture for hunting, fishing, or cruising. Right now it just has a 6 inch spindle lift and it is just way too rough and I have to basically crawl. If I put a long travel on will it soften up the ride enough I can carry some speed or am SOL and need to look at an electric ranger? If the LT is the way to go do you recommend Jakes or allsports? Thanks so so much guys! Oh, 2010 Precedent.

I've heard the long travels are the cream of the crop when it comes to lifts. They're pricey but worth it.

yea, 8-900 bucks would easily be worth it for enjoyment purposes if it doesn't ride super rough through the pasture. We have gopher holes ect out here.

I wonder myself if they ride any smoother than the regular a arm lifts.

A buddy has one on his ez-go and it rides pretty nice. We have some serious rocky, rough spots on the lease.

My 2 cents....there are no better riding suspensions for off road purposes than a long travel set up. Now, with that being said, how that long travel is set up, the type of shocks, etc. makes all the difference.
I also don't have any first hand experience with the Jakes or All Sport kits. My cart has an LT kit from a manufacture that no longer makes them for carts. I've been able to take stretches of deep ruts and uneven terrain at speeds of 20+mph with little to no movement in the driving seat.
Now that is for just the front end. The rear is also going to have to have some sort of "custom" work to do the same thing (link system). I do not believe there are any "kits" for the rear ends.
Also, the type, size of tire can help with "absorbing" some bumping. Generally, the taller the side wall of the tire, with a lower inflation, can also provide cushion.

A lot of guys on here really like the Jake's kit, especially now, they are coming with better shocks.

If you have the $$$ the long travel is the only way to go

. We fly around the trails at our campground up in PA. I still need to work on the rear end as it is still stock, But I love my jakes LT.....

Jakes long travel. They are worth the money if you want smooth riding.
