Bent movable contact shaft and arm assembly
Have a new control board assembly coming this week to replace the burnt up missing components. And looking over the board, I've noticed that the movable contact shaft and arm assembly is bent.
Here is a picture of the arm: And in this picture you can see it looks like the arm has a wrinkle in it: I've searched around and found this arm is supposed to be straight no kinks, bends nothing. I've even found that a new one costs approximately $61.00 - OUCH! Looking for a cheap fix until can get a new one. Want to know thoughts if I were to take this out and straight the arm best I could. Anyone ever try this? What in the world could cause this arm to be bent? Anyone ever seen a bent arm like this? As always appreciate the feedback. -Garry |

Re: Bent movable contact shaft and arm assembly
Caused by damaged contacts (as in pic), high heat, and "just hit the gas, it'll get us home" attitude. Your "temporary fix" might leave you with a cart stuck at 2/3 throttle when you don't expect it to keep going. Just fix it & quit using it 'till its fixed.
