Default 2015 too speed

Just bouggt a 2015 gas FI cart and top speed was 12mph I tightened the adjuster nut a little and got 15mph. But read it is bad to tighten the nut to much. My question is to get about 20 mph should I do the tie wrap mod or get the speed spring ? Pros and cons please.

Put the nut back to where it was stock and just tie wrap it. The speed spring I've heard can cause problems later down the road.

Do the ziptie wrap, no drawbacks (except it wont quite get you 20mph on stock tires). Check the throttle cable adjustment to see if its getting 100%, i have seen many that werent.

Ok I will try the zip tie mod than. Also the nut is very close to stock setting that was 12 mph only had to turn it a few turns to get to 15 mph. Thanks for the help I will post the results.

Reason I say leave it at stock position on the nut is for warranty reasons. A lot less time to cut the zip tie than cranking on the nut in the confined area.

Ok did the mod. I left the nut in stock postion, with 2 people in it on flat ground I hit 20.5 and drops to 19.5 and bounces between the 2. Don't know how accurate my speed app on my phone is. I can say I am happy with the results. Bouns like said above just cut the tie wrap for warranty work. Thanks for all the help.
