Maybe he was clumsily referring to the years where CC installed 12v batteries (prior to 2008.5) - and the frequent/early failures of those 12v batteries (in commercial/golf course use). That was a real issue for CC until all Precedents were changed back to the 6 x 8v configuration. That's the only thing I can think of. Otherwise...just assume it's "salesman talk".

Exactly. People say it all the time though. They don't like the Precedent because they have MCOR and Speed Sensor problems. They'd rather have a DS. They have the exact same parts as the Precedents so that claim doesn't hold water. They're both good carts and will serve you well if you take care of them.

DS Cars used 12 Volt batteries for about 4 years as well.

That salesmen was full of "dung" (man that word just doesn't have the impact of the 4 letter word that fits there) The Precedent, in my experience, has about the least number of issues of any cart. I tell customers all the time, we sell club car and work on EZGO. I rarely ever get a Precedent for anything other than batteries. The DS is pretty solid to, perhaps a little MORE likely to have issues in the older models that have more time on the road on them. If a Precedent has an issue, a large portion of the time it's just an MCOR.
