Default Stealth 4x4 48 to 64 volt conversion (Modified Club Car)

Just bought a new to me 2009 Stealth Apache XR model. Literature says it has a 65 volt 800 amp controller on it. I imagine it'll need batteries soon, and I was wondering what other than batteries, charger, and cables would be necessary if I do 8 x 8 volts rather than 8 x 6 volts when I replace them. I know the newer model of these was 64 volts, and I think (that's trouble ) it's the same controller in both carts. I just want to make sure I don't fry anything by doing this when the time comes.

Thanks!

It has 8 six volt batteries in it now, but a 65 volt controller. The 2009 model was 48 volts from the factory. In 2011 (I believe) they upgraded to 64 volts. Just making sure I won't fry my machine if I replace my 6 volts with 8 volts.

You'll have to change the way the solenoid control circuit negative wire is routed. Right now it's routed to main B-. You'll need to route it to battery number 6 negative to keep the solenoid coils happy at 48V.

Did everything go as planned? I have a 64 volt 2009 stealth. I want to downsize it to 48 volt so I can put 12 volt lithium batteries in it. Do I need to do anything different, or can I just slap the 48 volt system in without changing the controller?

Did you ever get around to the downsize? I’d like to either downsize to 48 or upsize to 72. Trying to figure it out

Most controllers have to be setup for whatever voltage your using... For example the curtis I just replaced was goo for 36v or 48 v but I had to program it for what I was running.

the curtis clone im installing now is good for 48, 60, or 72... i just programmed it for 72v

What controller do these carts have?
AHH just saw this is an ancient zombie necrothread someone revived..
