The voltmeters are 2 wire self powering much the same as your handheld digital meter. You can hard wire direct to the pack for the most accurate reading or you can power the meter with the keyswitch so it goes off when they key is off. Either way is acceptable as they draw very very little juice and constant operation does not effect pack voltage.
Constant on is helpful if the cart sits a lot of the time. You can check the pack as you walk by with a glance.

I drove a 55 Chevy 210 sedan (in your avatar) in flat black to highschool. The only Chrome was the bumpers and door handles. Sweet ride.

Thank you Scotty! I sent more time looking out the second floor study hall Staring at the T-bucket and full kustom mercs and 57 chevies cruising around the hi school looking for our, younger babes to pick them up. Those were the days.Never quite got over the great kustoms and the 32 fords bob s
