Default Question on just how much voltage a stock 36 volt EZ-Go can take

Got someone trying to sell me an EZ-Go 36 volt cart and it has dead batteries. Says everything else was working before they died.. Sure it was..

Normally I would just park another 36 volt cart to it and run jumper cables over to test the functionality. Well the problem I have is I don't have access to a 36 volt cart right now. Only a 48. So the question is can I use a partial 48 volt pack to test the 36 volt cart and not fry anything...

4 fully charged 8 volts would be 34 volts, a little low.
5 would be 42.5 which is a little high.

This would not be for an extended run but just to see if the wheels turn when they are supposed to.

Thoughts ?

Thanks in advance..

To be safe, jack a wheel up and use the under voltage.

I think either would work, but like Scottie said under would be safer.

It's a crap shoot. I've seen them run on 48 and I've seen em go up in smoke instantly and that's why I never suggest you exceed the product rating.

Lifting the cart on stands is a given. I have seen what happens when you don't. We will go with 4 batteries and see what happens.

Thanks folks..
