After some research, I think I have a MCOR. I have something that looks like it attached under the chassis that is attached to the throttle peddle. Any ideas on how to test to see if it is going bad?

My '96 Regen has a POT BOX - so most likely his does too. Unless it was replaced, you have what was called (in 1996) a POT BOX (see photo on THIS THREAD. If you have determined that it is the cause of your problems, you CAN get a kit (from David at Revolution) to convert it to a modern MCOR.
