Default DS 48 volt, Ser# AA0329-300865

Service Manual would be handy trying to chase down why pre charge resistor is cooking. I suspect controller has shorted MOSFET/Transistors.

Going for a Beer while I wait for Help.

You're probably correct, but a short in the motor can cause the same thing.
