Wanted-HD solenoid and SPM48500 controller install photos for TXT
If anyone has installed the same HD solenoid, f/r switch and controller below, can you please send/upload a photo of them installed...I have an ezgo TXT i am installing these in.
I have all the manuals/diagrams to install these but would like a more visual approach from photos to compare.... so I don't mess them up! more or less looking for wire orientation etc. (guess i need the install manuals for dummies) One other thing- I bought 6 new batteries, the guy who sold them said I didn't need to charge them and I could toss them in when I got home and run the cart..I kinda remember reading some where that the batteries needed to be charged for several hours before first use. ?...but I have been wrong before.... Thanks for any help....y'all have a great weekend! |

YES.....regardless of what guy said....once you get them installed plug in your charger and let it complete a full cycle before you run your cart.
I have that controller/solenoid/F&R.....the controller attaches to the stock controller heat sink.....the solenoid is on the front of it and the F&R goes where the stock one does. #2 SOLENOID.jpg New Batteries.jpg |

You want to charge the batteries before their first use. It may take up to 20 hours, but maybe only 4 or 5. Depends on how long they sat after being manufactured.
You gotta remember the guy that told you to just toss them in and run the cart, sells batteries. Here is a good tutorial on how to break them in: http://www.cartsunlimited.net/battery-break-in-.html |
