Unhappy Precedent controller or OBC not working

Hey guys I need some help with my 2006 stock 48 volt (4-12volt battery configuration) Precedent golf cart. Serial # PQ0732-793325. I had put my battery desulfator in the wrong spot by accident. The cart was on TOW. It came up 24 volts on the desulfator so I immediately realized what I did and pulled it off and put it on the correct posts and it was 54 volts. I let the desulfator work for a day or so then went to charge the cart and the charger clicks but does not start charging. Also the cart is not functioning. No back up buzzer either. I checked the main 15A fuse and it was good. I tried to reset the OBD and still nothing. What else could it be and how would I diagnose?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I would start by bypassing the OBC.

Do that and see if it runs.

All you need to do is connect the blue and white wires together with a paper clip in the female portion of the plug.

No reverse buzzer, the system is not powering up.

What do you mean by not powering up? So it sounds like I unplug the OBC and jump the white and blue wires on the plug on the cart side of the harness?

The reverse buzzer should sound whenever the direction selector is in reverse. It will even sound with the key off. The OBC disables the buzzer and it also disables the cart so it can't be moved with the cart plugged in. So when you connect the white and blue wire together(with a paperclip) you are bypassing this circuit. If the cart moves replace the OBC. Or better yet for a few dollars more you can replace your old charger with a modern DPI charger.

I am going to try and jump the OBC tonight. Is it safe to charge my pack with OBC jumped out? Also if I decide to upgrade to a DPI or Lester Summit charger do I just leave the OBD jumped and charge as I usually do or does it lose some of the automatic charging features with the after market chargers. I think the new charger is my best route.

Thanks again for the help.

When I sent my DPI in for repair I had to use my old PDIII charger. This is what I did. For every 15 minutes of driving I charger the battery one hour. Also you can watch your meter. When you first plug it in the meter will read 17amps. As the batteries charge it will decrease to maybe 10 amps. This is when they are finished charging. By no means is this a permanent solution. Make sure you do both mods to disable the OBC. If you order a DPI charger be sure to order the one for use without a OBC. And the DPI takes care of all the auto functions.

Anthother safety measure to use while charging with an unregulated charger is to watch your charge voltage and shut it off at 60.00 volts DC or 16 hours....
