Hip restraints are the rubber coated steel seat lifts on the seat. These are what is required for motorized vehicles, which my cart is considered, and true golf carts [cars] in Georgia.
Seat belts are required for any LSV which MV's and GC's are not considered being. LSV's also require state registration and insurance. You can be ticketed on an LSV for not wearing a seat belt. You can not be ticketed on a MV or GC for not wearing a seatbelt. Man, this is all clear as mud to me, but I guess I'll just hope for the best if I am stopped. And I'll be sure to keep you informed about it. |
