Another steering wheel removal PITA

Moon, I want to keep the wheel at this time if I can. After the tow was set very close with wheels straight the wheel is off by 75-90 degrees.
I want to pull it and put it back on in the correct upright position.
Not sure why it's off by that much.
I have the spindle dead stop set correct with the rack max throw.

I might not have a big enough dead blow hammer.
I will also try the hardwood block on the front.

I will update on how I finally get it off.
I am not one to leave and open ended thread as the inputs are valued and deserve a resolution.

It will be a few days before I can get back to it. For now it is soaking.

Well, I don't know what a "dead blow " hammer is. But, if you can make up your mind as to what you want to do. Take a big phucking hammer and knock the phuck out of it while someone is pulling upward.

BTW. The "tow" (sic) is in no way related to the steering wheel. Toe in/out etc. or anything else down there has anything to do with the steering wheel.

A dead blow hammer is designed to reduce the elastic rebound of a hammer blow. In this situation, a dead blow hammer would prevent the hammer from bouncing back after hitting the steering wheel and hitting the windshield, roof frame etc.

Just adjust the drag link. The long bar with tie rod ends that goes from wheel to wheel. Loosen both sides and turn the bar until the steering wheel is where you want it.

I am new here and learning and so far I have learned these are dead-blow hammers.
They come in different sizes and the last one "may" get this wheel off!
Not sure, I haven't made up my mind. The first two have not been much help.
The strap puller thing has not worked either. Just thought I would try it....

If the steering has not been removed before how did it get out of alignment? There is no need to remove it.

Not sure, I got this from a guy that used it on raw land in Texas somewhere.
He had a sprayer on the back to spray mesquite. Tires were full of thorns.

Maybe the rack did jump a tooth due to rocks and that is what I am seeing with this.

The front end was bad, no bushing left, king pin slop and weak spring.
All that fixed now.

I will recheck the alignment as I may just be off a little on the setup.

I agree, it should not be off that much.
