Default Tires too big?

I just picked up a 03 CC DS Electric. I believe it is pretty much stock except lift and tires. I'm putting new Trojan batteries in this spring. My question is that it has 26" tires on it. Are they going to be too big for the electric cart? It also has a "Speed Link" hooked up on it. What kind of speed do you think I will get out of it?

On an electric cart tires over 23" cause a ridiculous amount of torque or power loss. The power lost is equal to the tire size increase. Here is a quick look.
18 inch = stock
20 " = 11% loss of power over stock
22" = 22% loss
23" = 28% loss
25" = 39% loss

Even a big speed controller is not going to get past these high end losses. Basically you will have a most awesome looking cart that grandma's cart will pass on the uphill slope.
Unless money is no object in which case you can buy you way out of such a loss.

Can you post a pic of your cart showing the lift from the front end and a side shot giving us a look at your clearance?

I have 24"atv tires on mine. Speed is faster w/o doing anything however you do lose torque. I'm mostly on flat ground 90%of the time.

I think we clocked mine at 23 and I don't have any speed devices on mine. Planning on that speed code unit but my kids drive this also.

Tires are never too big. But the propulsion system can sometimes be too small.
