Default 92 Club Car DS Roof Drain Issue

Hi folks,

Recently purchased this old unit and have been doing some sprucing up of the old gal. I'm having a concern of figuring out how the roof drains are supposed to work. The roof is slanted rearward with troughs on edge of the roof. There are 2 holes about 3/4" in diameter at the each corner in the rear. It appears to me that there should be something in those holes with a hose to route the water off the cart. Right now the water runs in right behind the seat backs making for a wet rear panel. I've looked at other golf carts in our park and haven't found any roofs like mine. Most have material covers over the roof. Mine only has material on the sides of the unit. Also tried Googling with nothing found that would help me. I appreciate any info you can share with me. This is my first golf cart. Thanks in advance.

Yep, you are missing some stuff...
I had the same problem on a previous cart..
Can purchase some grommets, & some fuel line...
Install the grommets, then silicone the fuel line into them..
If you match up the correct size.. you actually don't need to silicone if you don't want to.. I just did for insurance...
Then route the lines to wherever you would like..
I had a full door enclosure on mine, so I routed down the frame of that, out the bottom..
Should take you less than 30 min to accomplish, & about $20

Thanks Evorob. Do you remember where you got the grommet? This is starting to make sense now.

Can pick them up at local hardware store, or what have you...
Lowe's, Home Depot, Ace.. etc..

Look in the electrical section. The grommets are used to keep wires from chaffing in metal boxes.

Update. I tried using the original 3/4" holes in the roof, but couldn't make them line up correctly, so plugged them and put in the same size holes on the flat surface on both rear corners. Used a 3/4" OD (1/2" ID) rubber grommet. and 1/2" barbed nylon splice. Then ran 1/2" vinyl tubing to the outside. See photos. I glued the splice to the grommet and the grommet to the roof as it slipped off the roof fairly easily. Letting it cure overnight to give it the that final water test. Thanks again for the help guys.

Yep, rain is scarce around here in So Cal. My bride mentioned the same thing. I did a water test on the roof today and all is good! Functions well. Yay! Thanks y'all!
