48 volt CC Solenoid - Diode?
My friend gave me a 48 volt club car solenoid he had as a spare in case mine gives me grief due to the very loose positive post I encountered. It more or less looks the same as mine (2006 Precedent) except this one has a metal bracket (mine plastic) and also a small diode soldered to the spade connectors (mine no diode that I can see). What's that diode for? Will this be ok to use on my 06? He's not sure from which of his carts this came from....

It's probably a service replacement solenoid. The service replacement has a built in diode. It's not necessary on IQ but definitely will not hurt you if it's there. The blade terminals are two different size so it can't be hooked up wrong.
