High Voltage drop
I recently built up a cc DS 8 6v batteries, alltrax controller, reversing contactor, 22' tires, d&d torque motor. I have drove it all over our 500 acre farm about 7-8 miles and only used about 30-35% battery and it is very hilly and very steep.
The only concern I have is that on steep hills the voltage can drop all they way down to 38-39v. When I check the batteries they are all within .03v of each other weather before or after use. Is this ok? If not what do I need to look for? Thanks. |

Re: High Voltage drop
How steep a hill are you talking and has the voltage always dropped that dramatically?
You'll need to hook a voltmeter up to each individual battery and measure voltage drop when driving up that same hill to see which one drops the most. This is called a load test. Just because the batteries have good voltage doesn't necessarily mean they're healthy. Sounds like you might have a bad battery/ batteries. |
