As the volts drop with use, half a volt one way or the other, can make the difference between being OK or going below 50%. Yeah, being off a whole volt in unknown direct, surely would matter. |

Re: SOC readings
50% is not a hard set line. It is a target. If I'm on the 16 th hole when I get to 50% I'm going to finish my round of golf. I would not start a round if I was getting down close to that. Just saying.

Re: SOC readings
Most batteries (from what I read) at full charge is 2.12 volts/cell...multiple by number of cells to get your total...48 volt comes out to 50.88...I wouldn’t be too concerned...also measure your specific gravity

Re: SOC readings
Have to remember also at charging I’ve seen as high as 65 volts going into batteries, it might take a little time for them to fully level out....IMO

Re: SOC readings
Today with full charge, at rest...... cart meter was again 51.9V and multimeter ran 51.6-51.7V. Only .2-.3 different.

Re: SOC readings
I have a US Battery dealer I work with , I asked him about the higher voltage and he said he has seen that as norm not the exception with these batteries

Re: SOC readings
My DPI charger floats my US Batts at 52.4 volts, even days off the Charger and using the cart for a few minutes around the house they typically hold at around 51+. Really have to put them to work to get them down to 70-80% SOC

Re: SOC readings
"Full charge" Voltage depends on the battery and the manufacturer. This will vary slightly.
Battery manufacturers usually have a data sheet that specifies what their batteries voltage will be at 100% SOC. This info will not be on the battery. |
