Default ? Club Car DS Upgraded cables, FNR & solenoid and cart runs slower, why

Have a 48 volt lifted club car ds with a series wound motor. Use to run about 29 mph. Was having problems with FNR switch melting and also melted solenoid. Replaced cables with hd cables, new hd FNR switch and new solenoid. Now runs tops 26. Any suggestions? Thanks

Stock this cart runs 14mph. How was the cart modified to reach 29 mph?

You must be running some tall tires on there..... (And series carts are greatly effected by voltage in regards to speed. Check you pack voltage at a standstill and then at WOT and see what you are getting.....
