Default 1995 Club Car "clicks" but no go. Help!

I just picked up this 48V cart from a guy. He said it was running great then one day as he was driving it onto the trailer, he heard a "pop" and it wouldn't move.

When I push the throttle, I hear the solenoid click but no movement.
5 batteries show 8.2V and 1 battery 7.7. Total pack of Trogan T875s is over 50V.
Any advice is greatly appreciated

Your pack voltage can't be over 50 volts, it is 48.7 by your numbers.

Look closely at that weak battery. Something is wrong there.

MC is right, something from a "Pop" is usually revealing a battery failure or cable. You may have voltage, but no amperage (energy) or you may have burned a cable off between the controller and motor or FNR.

What is the serial number of that cart?

Ill check again after I charge it. I have no idea how long it's been since he charged it.

May want to pull the FNR apart and make sure nothing is melted.

IF you heard a pop, it may be a fuse (if it has an aftermarket controller, not sure if the OEM setup had a fuse) or may just be a bad solenoid. IT may show 48V on both sides of the solenoid, but if the interior contacts are burnt, it doesn't mean it's capable of passing high current.

Could have also been something in the controller that went pop.

This is all under the assumption that the limit switches are okay. I don't believe the signal would ever make it to the solenoid to make it click if the limit switches on the accelerator or FNR were bad?

My DS was doing the same exact thing, except previous owner replaced motor, FNR switch, MCOR4, etc. Everything except the controller and solenoid, so I replaced both with a new Alltrax and HD solenoid and it's been perfect ever since.
